About me

Shiheng Zhao

Ph.D. student, Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems

I grew up in a small mountain village on the northern foothills of the Dabie Mountains. I enjoy natural landscapes, fishing, and spending time with cats and dogs.

After finishing high school, I moved to Beijing, where I studied and lived for seven years. I received my B.S. in Engineering Mechanics and M.S. in Applied Mechanics from China Agricultural University. In August 2023, I came to Dresden to begin my Ph.D. research with Pierre Haas.

I plan to graduate in spring 2027.
