About me

I’m Shiheng Zhao (赵世恒), a Ph.D. student at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems (MPI-PKS). My work lies at the intersection of continuum mechanics and soft materials, with a special focus on biological tissues, including tissue morphogenesis and the mechanical instabilities that arise during development. Additionally, I am interested in exploring the elastodynamic behaviour of soft materials, transformation elasticity, and elastic metamaterials.

Before joining MPI-PKS, I received my B.S. degree in Engineering Mechanics (2020) and M.S. degree in Applied Mechanics (2023) from China Agricultural University.

If you are interested in my research, whether seeking collaboration or simply have a chat, please feel free to send an email to me.
